Philippines Invites Bids for 30-Year Concession to Revamp Laguindingan Airport

As part of the government’s flagship infrastructure program, the project seeks to overhaul LIA into a state-of-the-art, sustainable aviation hub, capable of serving international routes and meeting evolving passenger demands.

Under a 30-year concession agreement, private entities will undergo a rigorous selection process, known as a “comparative challenge process,” to undertake the financing, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the airport.

According to the DOTr, the airport’s development plan encompasses strategies to attract new airlines and routes, expand capacity in line with market growth, and integrate sustainability and connectivity principles to enhance both environmental and operational efficiency.

Anticipated enhancements include an upgraded terminal facility to enhance passenger comfort and efficiency, as well as the introduction of new commercial offerings both within the terminal and in the surrounding landside areas.

This initiative heralds a significant opportunity for your company to contribute to the transformation of Laguindingan Airport into a modern and globally competitive aviation gateway.
