Police arrested a man in Cagayan de Oro City for allegedly hurting his wife during an argument about their unfed pet dogs.
Authorities said the fight got worse and involved a bladed weapon, which caused injuries to the woman. The suspect was arrested by Police Station 4 after the wife filed a complaint.
Investigation showed the argument started when the husband failed to feed their dogs.
Police clarified that the incident was not related to online gambling, and the wife was not hacked or stabbed.
“What happened was they struggled over a bladed weapon. The wife was injured when a sharp part grazed her,” said Police Station 4 Commander Maj. Peter Tajor.
The man will be charged for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act (RA 9262).
