Texas Democrats Representative Al Green filed articles of impeachment against US President Donald Trump.
This followed Trump’s bombing in Iran.
In his speech at the US House of Representatives, Green stated that Trump’s actions were illegal and unconstitutional.
He emphasized that approval from Congress is necessary before the US can carry out any bombing actions.
In the vote that was held, the result was 344 in favor and 79 against, with 128 of the votes in favor coming from Democrats who are allies of Trump.
It can be recalled that during Trump’s first term, he faced two impeachment attempts, but was acquitted by the Senate.
